TODAY IS W.A.S.P.'S SELF-TITLED 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

W.A.S.P 'W.A.S.P' (1984)
Released on August 17th, 1984, this must-have classic helped shape heavy metal culture in the 80's and beyond. More importantly it had all killer, no filler. Just damn good song after damn good song.

Today we salute Blackie Lawless and his band at the time of Chris Holmes (Guitar), Tony Richards (Drums), Randy Piper (Guitar) along with co-producer Mike Varney for this gem that is now 30 years old. It's hard to believe it's been that long since it terrorized parents and fascinated the metal hungry public.

The album peaked at #74 on the US Billboard charts and 'I Wanna Be Somebody' was ranked No. 84 on VH1's list of the "Top 100 Hard Rock Songs" of all time.

The playlist below includes the 'I Wanna Be Somebody' and 'L.O.V.E. Machine' official videos followed by the full 1984 concert 'Live at Lyceum' and an interview with Blackie from the era.
